As per the programme there is an open canoe trip on the river Severn from Ironbridge to Bridgnorth. It’s suitable for all so please come along but if you are unsure about anything then please contact Maz Harvey who is kindly organising this event. Phone Maz on 07779127548 or email
by the end of the week please.
This is a very pleasant part of the world and an opportunity to see a few famous landmarks.
As we are still awaiting delivery of our new boats we will be hiring canoes for those who need them at a cost of £8 per boat. Either way please confirm to Maz that you are coming.
IMPORTANT - We will not have access to trailers or towing facilities so you will need to transport your own canoe. You will need to meet at 16:00 on Saturday at Upton Warren to collect your canoe.
Bring warm drinks, water and food for your lunch and spare layers to allow for changes in the weather.
Below are a few links to help you find your way and a report on the trip we are planning to do.
We plan to meet at Dale Country Park at 9:30 which is apparently left just past a mini-roundabout just along from the from the Gorge Museum.
Google map: You can zoom in and out and switch between road view and aerial photo.
