Kayak Surfing – Sunday 3rd May

The surf and weather forecast for Porthcawl on Sunday look moderate at the moment and a few of us are going kayak surfing. Low tide is early so meeting at the usual place in the car park on the hill at Rest Bay for 09:30 would be a good plan. Take some change for the car park. You can turn up later but the surf may drop throughout the day although it’s a great beach for surfing and body boarding as well.  UV levels are forecast to be high so bring your sun protection.

Google map to Rest Bay. You can zoom in and out on this map and switch to aerial photo view which gives a good shot of the car park. Note a top tip for the route is to go down the M50, A40, A449 to Newport to pick up the M4 as it avoids paying that nice big toll on the new bridge and it’s a more pleasant route.
