Sun 25 Nov, Evesham to Pershore.

Meet in Pershore main car park and ready to paddle for 09:00 hrs. We will consolidate cars at Pershore and drive to the leisure centre car park in Evesham (£3 or £4 parking charges apply even on Sunday – eeek!). For those in Evesham meet at the leisure centre car park (ready to go) for 09:15.

Should be able to get onto the River below Abbey bridge in Evesham which means we only have to worry about getting under Jubilee bridge in Fladbury (which we should be able to cope with even if it means a bit of cross country paddling)

We won’t be able to get to the containers so you’ll need your own boats. Should be finished by mid day-ish (adjusting for canoeing time!)

Let me know if you have any questions or would like some advice

Keith has found fame

It seems that Keith The Seal has found fame on The BBC and  Facebook as well as local papers etc.

History and A Seal called Keith, all on a canoe trip

We all met at Upton where Caroline gave us a very interesting talk about the Civil War and how Keith and all the other commanders in the Civil War fought and moved.

Saturday 17th – Canoe while learning some history ! – Revised Times

There is a canoe trip on the Teme and the Severn on Saturday. Its a gentle paddle and an opportunity to develop skills, with a bit of history thrown in for good measure.
We will start with a bit of history – outside the Kings Head at Upton on Severn – at 1pm (not the programme time which says 10am)
Then we will drive to Powick, aiming to be there about 1:45pm.
If you are interested please let me know by e-mailing or texting 07909537760

Note only 2 club boats left.

Please let me know:
– do you need a club canoe (if you do you will need to meet at PRSC at 12:00)?
– will you meet at Upton or at Powick?
