Pool, Creating your own underwater comfort zone ( Mon 31 March and 07 April )

Sorry for the very late notice but here are the groups for the underwater comfort zone sessions …

Llangollen Trip Day 3 – Dee, Chain Bridge to end of Town Falls.

The paddling group was smaller. Adam, Graham, Mat S, Ben, Fitz, Emma, Roy, Sue, Lu ,Max, Andy C, Jenny and Claire.

We paddled from The Chain Bridge Hotel to Town Falls in Llangollen. It was a beautiful warm day, I think a lot of us regretted having so many layers on.

Llangollen Weekend Day 2- Lower Tryweryn

Firstly a big thanks to Mat for organising the event. Also to all the experienced paddlers who supported the likes of me down the river. Giving us invaluable coaching and for their amazing rescues of paddlers, boats and paddles.

Dee, Day 1

So I picked up Matt M at 7am and we headed to Langollen for the day. Arriving at 9.00 we joined the rest, got changed did the ferry and headed off down the river.

CIWW Sunday 2nd March

Sunday 2nd of March 2014 

For those of you who haven’t been it is worth while printing off the forms that are required and filling them in before you get there. There are lots of other courses going on so completing your forms could save you a lot of time. Now they issue you with a yearly pass so you don’t have to do paper work every time you go. The changing and shower facilities are great and have lockers. The volumes of water released changes throughout the day; the details are on the website.

Another year, and another Wychavon Kayak and Canoe Club (WKCC) Winter Social – but this year with the added attraction of an ergo challenge. As part of my fundraising for a Girlguiding International trip, I had been kindly lent a kayak ergo, which provided a lot of extra fun and competitiveness to our usual social.
