Hi today we had a great day out doing the Doggy Paddle. It’s just over 18 miles on the Avon from Leamington to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Our WKCC entries were coordinated and planned by Liz who id a fantastic job. We had 10 canoeists. Liz and Matt S, Claire and Adam, Emma W and Graham, Emma B [...] Today we ran two kayak and two canoe sessions at Top Barn near Holt Heath for 1st Worcester Scouts. We ended up being [...] On Paul C’s recommendation last month me and Marina went to Lea Valley White Water Centre to watch the final day of the GB Canoe Slalom Trials. Today was men’s C1, K1 and C2 and women’s K1. To see some of the countries top paddlers was superb. [...] Wychavon Kayak and Canoe Club (WKCC) held their 2nd annual Canoe Polo tournament at Droitwich Leisure Centre on Saturday, 10th March with 9 teams competing on the night. Teams of 13-16 year olds from Festival Housing, Droitwich Young Firefighters (2 teams) and WKCC (2 teams) competed in this year’s Junior category. Sophie started the evening off with a games session where all the teams had to make something related to paddling out of newspaper only. Water was low but a great opportunity for some skills practice in crossing, edging and a bit of surfing.
